Directions: In this assignment, you will record a 90-to-120 second audio segment and podcast it.
Note that all the softwares needed for this assignment are free and downloadable to your computer from the web.
Option 1:
First, record your voice summarizing one of your observations about a topic discussed in this class. Make sure to include what you think was the best thing you learned in this class and how that may affect your life. You will use the program "audacity" to record your voice segment. We will demonstrate in class how to use this program. Make sure you prepare, write and rehearse before you start recording!
Option 2:
First, record something (an interview, your voice, other...) covering a topic related to your Wordpress blog assignment. The recordings should tackle something original (not literature review or a regurgitation of some lecture or reading material). Be creative, but think of the bigger picture and the concepts of Media Literacy. Ideally, your recording will contribute a new instrument, method or perspective to media literacy theories and modules.
Option 1 and 2:
Second, save and export your audio segment as an mp3 file.
Third, upload the audio segment you exported to podomatic.com.
Fourth, setup your podcast to your Wordpress blog (RSS1 widget).
